Once you’re in the game press start and go to multiplayer. Should be able to reassign characters from there.

Love the idea of having an aggregate post like that. Super appreciative of the time you spent making the gdt bot and they have been awesome! But I figure having one place to discuss all the games of the day is gonna be nice and clean up everyone’s feeds. Thanks for working on this!
I’m still pretty curious to hear from Val and see how that situation plays out…
It is really great! Also just to be clear some books do come with drm, but it’s explicitly listed for every book. But you can also use a no drm filter in the search to see all the ones without it. A great way to find publishers to support!
Oh good to know, thanks!
Ebooks.com sells books without drm for publishers that don’t require it! I read a lot of sci-fi and Tor doesn’t publish with drm so I always buy their books there. I think Kobo is owned by Walmart so I try to stick to ebooks.com whenever I can.
Already been mentioned but the The Wizard of Earthsea (Earthsea Cycle) by Ursula K. Le Guin is the only other fantasy that feels “similar” to the Lord of the Rings to me (admittedly I haven’t read a ton of fantasy, but I’ve read a decent amount). I’m reading through the series for the first time, on book three right now, and it’s just great. Feel like it does a nice job of defying my expectations of a “fantasy story” and Le Guin’s writing is beautiful.
Also these books straddle the line between fantasy and sci-fi, but the Broken Earth Series by N. K. Jemisin are amazing and among my favorite books. Actually gave the series a reread after my most recent reread of LotR earlier this year, so I can vouch they are an excellent follow up! These ones have less of an obvious fantasy parallel to LotR but they’re too good for me to not mention!
If you already feel that away about python you should definitely stay away from R 😂 great language with a stats focus but man it’s way too loose with some stuff
Was just about to say Echoes of the Eye! Feel like it kind of changed my perception of horror games in general which is crazy cause it’s barely a horror game and it’s really only the DLC. But there’s definitely positive themes you can take away from the whole thing.
R really isn’t a great replacement for matlab. I’m not as familiar with it but I think octave would be the better choice. Obviously Python as well but that’s a step away from these languages.
Anyone here playing it? Curious to hear how it is! FF12 is by far my favorite and one of the only FF games I’ve actually beaten, so sort of curious to hear a comparison. Still working through Tears of the Kingdom so I won’t be getting to FF16 for a bit anyways
I don’t know if disturbing is the word I’d use but Empire Falls left me feeling profoundly sad for a few weeks after finishing it. It was a beautiful book and I’d recommend it to anyone but it definitely stuck with me for a bit and was hard to shake
Came here to say Scott pilgrim, could watch that movie on repeat it’s so good!
Man haven’t listened to the dear hunter in forever. Never really made it past the color album/EPs with them but think I gotta get back into it!
I definitely agree and hear what you’re saying but strong art style achieves the same thing and invariably ages better. There are definitely occasionally those games going for photorealistic that make me pause and appreciate it but more often than not it’s the games that really own a distinct, creative, and well thought out visual style.
