I post luigi thirst videos and tiktok has decided to review almost every video i post. because a video of luigi’s perpwalk while bloodhound gang’s bad touch is playing in the background is glorifying violence i guess.

this is why we need to archive anything (important) related to him the minute we see it.
he has essentially admitted to it several times but not in a way that is admissible in court. But yeah. we all know he did it and even luigi knows he did it.
it’s a cursor. the cops didn’t know how to take a screenshot so they took a pic of a pic on the computer.
Reddit is where the wackos who will cancel you for suggesting any hint of “guilt” are! How is this any different? You can think the guy did it without believing he is guilty of murder or manslaughter.
this. I am tired of people saying “what if someone sees it!?” Because potential jurors are browsing reddit Luigi fan forums, a rando Lemmy server, Instagram Luigi fan accounts, or rando substack comments all at the same time. People are allowed to have opinions about the case. I think he did it. I don’t think he committed murder. He did a service and sacrificed himself. That’s the whole reason for the season.
just edited for that
i wasn’t specifically talking about lemmy when i said the commercialization part.
he’s only 27, when he looks like he’s closer to 37.
god yes so sexy when he doesn’t shave.
It’s marketing and a show of strength.
that isn’t activism. I’m sorry.
how does this impact the system for change? it doesn’t. This is more performative BS. I’d like to think people on a lemmy server would have better ideas to engage in real, collective activism. This requires real work, not just buying a flag and driving your car on the freeway.
This seems ethically gray. essentially you pay a premium fee to be on the website. The fact that it’s a donation seems even more problematic because it does seem like it could be a legal issue for the defense fund. I hope these people contacted his lawyers about it. Additionally, people on r/brianthompsonmurder pointed out the fact that people with little to no money won’t have as much of a chance of being included (because they are picking and choosing who gets to say happy birthday??). “While donations increase the likelihood of your message being included, our goal is to feature as many messages as possible.” So people who can’t pay that much… what? This feels weird and immoral to me. Perhaps the donation should be suggested in lieu of the card, but not a premium tier??
And the fact that they are not being transparent with how they are getting site to luigi is really weird. Will he even ever see it? A guy who wants things to be transparent and is against classism, is anti-capitalist. It’s really off and doesn’t feel right.
exactly. i always thought shadowbanning was a thing people just said when mad until i noticed that on reddit.
this is happening on tiktok too. I got a violation warning for criticizing tiktok on tiktok. They said I was “bullying.” This is some social media shit that is happening across platforms. I know I am not making this up in my head.
me being banned from r/freeluigi twice for innocuous comments
no, mark rosario
don’t forget tiktok. they went down the shitter too. i only still use it because it has better editing on it than rednote… Then I go and post my video edited on tiktok to rednote.
only in the bedroom
wait what? i can search him in the US
