I’ve removed adhesive from probably 1000 computers. The easiest and fastest way is use 91% isopropyl alcohol and a PLASTIC scraper with replaceable PLASTIC blades .
Just use a cotton ball, old sock, shirt whatever and soak it with the alcohol. Apply alcohol liberally to the adhesive. Wait a minute or so and use the plastic scraper to scrape the coagulated adhesive off. Wipe scraper with paper towel and do again.

We don’t use goo gone because it is oil based and can damage components. Alcohol is much safer to use on computers.
