Just curious what distro do u typically run? I’ve mainly used Ubuntu, lubuntu, and mint. I want to try something different next!

I was very and am very tempted to get baulders gate 3, as all the good reviews and bg2 is one of the first pc games I remember playing with my dad. But still, I have not bought a new game at 60 in close to a decade.
The great reddit exodus of 2023 brought me here

Facts. My mom is Spanish ASF and to this day regularly misgenders people all the time (call me and my brother she, call sisters he), just hasn’t come easy to her. As long as somebody isn’t INTENTIONALLY calling u the wrong pronouns for the express purpose of pissing you off u just correct them and move on. If u get that hung up on a simple innocent mistake u need to step back and adjust your shitty attitude.
I typically order by highest seeders, I only really download games and TV shows/ movies and have had decent luck.
Uniform is uniform, no politics in work is how every job I’ve had was. Can I wear a Spanish flag pin cuz it’s my heritage? No it violates dress code
I’m currently sitting in bed in pain no sleep (besides during surgery) for second night in row. Dislocated wrist and shattered forearm, 8 inch I believe long plate (had to get custom made, so I got to spend a night with my bone all but protruding through skin) with 13 screws. To hold me together. All cuz some jackass in a lawn care truck decided to go left in front of me when I had right of way, I slammed my brakes but hit his bed I was on my motorcycle. Flipped over his bed straight cleared it then skipped down pavement like 20 ft or so. If not for my suit I would have lost the arm and had far more injury. I’m a mechanic by trade so 3 months recovery min is going to ruin me.
I’ve been using TPB regularly for over a decade. Goes down now and then but usually back up in a day or 2 tops
To be fair, I guess he thought they were gonna move to him!
I quit smoking 3 packs a week in favor of vaping a few years ago, and the only reason I quit vaping is because of wisdom tooth surgery. I didn’t really want to, despite knowing I should, as I reasoned with myself that the vape isn’t that harmful. I quit a month ahead of my surgery because I knew stopping nicotine and weed at same time I’d be a grouch and I’m glad I did! Still miss it sometimes and I’ll occasionally smoke hookah or a blunt, but nice not to be feining for a hit of nicotine when I don’t have access.
I had never heard of the fedivedae before, but now I have a Lemmy and kbin acct, and definatley enjoy both. Sometimes I still feel I do not fully grasp it but I get the gist of it enough to use it without issue.
Those are belt drive and have hydrolic lifters right? Less time in the garage is always nice! Adjusting my 16 valves every 4-6k can get old when I’m riding 500 mi a week
I am also a long time infinity user, Jerboa feels fairly similar to me.
My SO and I love playing outward! Great co op rpg
I haven’t used Linux much last few years, used to run Ubuntu. Currently I have a crappy old hp stream thats happily running mint os tho! Poor thing barely booted windows at one point, now its again capable of surfing the web and downloading/viewing docs. Any better lightweight distros out anybody can reccomend?
Having come here from reddit, largely using the infinity app Jerboa feels incredibly familiar in a good way. Loving it so far!
Id love a community for motorcycles, haven’t seen much in the way of automotive on Lemmy yet.
My SO and I pooled all our gift cards and got a switch, first console we have owned in ages. We kept considering a steam deck, but seemed redundant already having a gaming PC and half decent laptop. Switch was cheaper way into a handheld, and got me access to the new Zelda titles. Finally playing breath of the wild and damn is this game a breath of fresh air!
