Nuclear waste is pretty bad and incredibly expensive to store. That storage also needs to be maintained for the entire time it’s stored. Burying it is not enough, that will contaminate the water somewhere. Not to mention the upkeep on nuclear plants is very expensive and even then they only have a lifespan of 5 decades. Plus, it only takes one disaster for a meltdown. That said, these are problems that could be addressed and mitigated and in some areas it makes sense.

I’m sure there’s shady crap in Windows 95 that they’d rather not be made public too.

The only people I do this stuff for is my parents, because they certainly did a lot for me over the decades. Also, if I don’t do these things for them, some asshole will drain their bank accounts because their passwords would be the names of their children.

Good points. But the plebs happen to serve these folks. Not to mention congressmen/women tend to be a lot easier to follow than billionaires. Also the paparazzi are a crafty folk being handed another tool to be sneaky. We’ll see.

How close do you need to get for facial recognition with a device that is designed to vacuum up every face it comes across? After a couple of scandals about who was out where with whom, that’s all it would take.
