1·6 months agoLa domanda che rimane è cosa ti offre il fediverso in scambio? Sicuramente non potenziali seguaci che si iscriverebbero tramite ActivityPub (quanti dei abitanti avrebbero account?). Dubito se si iscriverebbero anche tramite RSS (che tante piattaforme offrono come alternativa).
Io invece ho contattato peertube.uno con la proposta di pubblicare video (non commerciali, ma in una lingua non italiana) da loro e contribuire ai costi (essendo un rapporto che usufruisce risorse, ma non da indietro alla communita italofona). Non mi hanno risposto.
Forse per un artigiano potrebbe essere interessante anche https://fedimercatino.it/ . Sarebbe un diretto punto vendita, anche se senza acquirenti.
Questo sì che è un problema importante. La fine di portare un’attività qui sarebbe di avere esposizione a potenziali clienti che pagherebbero. Sicuramente il fatto che non ci sono i vincoli di accesso (walled garden) è un vantaggio.
Ma se apri un’istanza nuova, non hai la visibilità ai utenti locali della tua istanza. Mi sembra una fregatura, particolarmente se pensi che i tuoi prodotti potrebbero essere mirati proprio verso i nerd che siamo la popolazione tipica qui.
