Echoing picking the 13 for best bang for buck. It’s a great phone and as for the other phones on your list you wouldn’t be missing out on any features.

If the finances aren’t the biggest factor in your decision, and if your partner is certain that they still want a huge phone in their hands then go with the 14 plus instead. Big phone = better battery, which I’m sure is an issue for them with their 8 plus currently.

All I know is Siri has become pretty mid, must be an iOS 17 thing though

Didn’t want to buy into the Spigen hype due to all the YouTuber sponsors but I ended up finding one during my own search by Spigen and honestly I’m glad I got it. It’s a really nice case, it’s held up very well so I’m surprised it’s not been one of the ones getting shouted out. I like it because the action button actually gets covered too and isn’t exposed like most iPhone case. Makes it feel just that much like a newer device!
