Update: I clicked the small ‘x’ on the side of the language box in my settings and things are loading now.
I’m having the same issue 3 days later. I’m also seeing it on https://lemmy.one/c/unraid@reddthat.com. It only seems blank when I’m signed in. If I sign out everything loads. My language is Undetermined.
There are a bunch of comments in this thread on kbin.social at https://kbin.social/m/programmerhumor@lemmy.ml/t/26213/XKCD-1172 but none here at lemmy.one. Every time I think I understand federation I get thrown for a loop
Your handle only works on the instance you signed up on (lemmy.one).You can view communities from all other federated instances (lemmy.ml,etc) from your home instance (again, lemmy.one). You shouldn’t be trying to sign into other instances with your handle

BeeHaw is Lemmy, BeeHaw is just a specific instance like lemmy.ml. lemmy and kbin are ‘group’ based federated apps. Lemmy has ‘communities’ and kbin has ‘magazines’. You can view lemmy communities as kbin magazines and vice versa.
I would say magazines and communities are the same but kbin magazines have an additional ‘microblog’ feature incompatible with lemmy.
Kbin is also more compatible with user based federated apps like mastodon due to the ‘microblog’ functionality. You can follow mastodon users from kbin which I don’t think you can do from lemmy.

Not really. kbin content is from kbin. You can read lemmy and mastodon content from kbin.
