@redd Basically that. In @MapComplete , I’m simply querying nearby reviews and seeing that the name is somewhat similar.
This means that is a shop changes name, they lose their reviews.
@ApplyingAutomation You can use https://mapcomplete.org/food for this - it has reviews (thanks to @mangroveReviews ) and picture upload
@abeorch @vatlark Also have a look at https://mapcomplete.org
@GravitySpoiled @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml Yeah, maybe we should ask them to use framaforms or similar next time.
@nudnyekscentryk @bruhbeans IIRC, there was a project in the UK which tried to map as many as possible, in order to predict fluctuations in electricity supply.
We know where clouds are with good precision. If we can match this with the locations of solar panels + some math, they could predict small fluctuations.
@dnkrupinski @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml @cynber hehe, wrong link. Should be mapcomplete.org/drinking_water
@strypey @MapAmore @openstreetmap @everydoor Have you tried https://mapcomplete.org already?
@mannivu @Doudouosm @openstreetmap eh, maybe? Maybe discuss this on the issue tracker…
@Doudouosm @openstreetmap (i happened to see it in another toot, while in the train station…)
@beta_tester @jlow I’m trying to help y’all by making it easybt9 ass shops: https://mapcomplete.org/shops
(Also checkout the other maps on https://mapcomplete.org )
@HubertManne Qwant.com uses “qwant maps”, which is basically OpenStreetMap in a different branding.
DuckDuckGo has Apple Maps as provider, which is partially based on OSM (but, meh). However, the bang !osm
will take you to OpenStreetMap (and !wosm
brings you to the OSM-wiki)
@sab @badbrainstorm @booklovero mapcomplete.osm.be ties together pictures and reviews by @mangroveReviews . Feel free to make a Mastodon-widget showing socials though!
@marco @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml Hi Marco,
That is because you are looking to a lemmy post from Mastodon. Seems like the images don’t come through properly. Visit https://lemmy.ml/post/1852015 and you’ll see the picture.
@arnalielsewhere @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml
I don’t think so, but I don’t frequent community.openstreetmap.org/ much.
BTW: did you know that the post you answered to actually came from Lemmy? It is an alternative for Reddit
I’m searching for moderators for the lemmy.ml/c/openstreetmap - community! Please apply now if you are a good fit.
@infeeeee @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml oh, glanced over that! Seems like I didn’t properly read your comment, sorry 'bout that
