I’ll need to crack open a can of Citray when I get home today. I received an email from La Sirene they’ve stocked up on the Praline as well. We’ll probably be in Reservoir for a car show so I might get some

Introducing copilot into 365 and upping the price by $100 was one of the best things to ever happen to Libreoffice. I’ve been meaning to do a presentation on Libreoffice for the old people I help so they can save money
I saw all the traffic backed up on Plenty Road. Good thing I chose to ride in today
It’s a much more intense movie than it seems. Great film though
I’m surprised they even happened. I thought they’d be the sorry of things he talks about forever and never actually does. But I guess this is like the Muslim ban; do it, revoke it, blame other people, and talk about it without ever implementing it again
Happy birthday, birthday neighbour
There have always been a bunch of Thomas’s around for me. There’s one guy at work also called thomas with the same initials as me, so that could get very confusing in the project management software
Thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday everyone. It feels like I got a bigger response here from people I haven’t met in person compared to what I ever got from people I know on Facebook
I remembered it’s my birthday today so I got the breakfast banh mi as a treat on the way in to work. I think I’ll check my emails and head down to the nearby shopping centre during lunch to collect up as much free/discounted birthday stuff as I can
God, that would have been terrifying. I’m glad she’s ok
It’s understandable, you get attached to these little fellas
The font on the old theme I was using on the website was some serif font where the lines were all the same thickness.
There was something about it when doing white text on black what was just too heavy and hard to read
I’ll need to use one when I buy this old laptop off work and put linux on it. I haven’t bought a thumb drive recently that has USB-C
I also found out the few people using linux in head office were asked to switch back to Windows. Because work offers no support, you were given root access and could just sudo anything onto your computer you’d like.
Sounds sick but that’s exactly why they’ve backflipped on this
There are still things like thumb drives, and I can’t use the screen projector dongle things in the office because they’re still USB-A
It’s more these are both Dell Precisions. The old one is from around 2021 so it feels lie they were too ambitious on the USB-C everything front back then. Maybe they realised they’re not Apple and workplaces aren’t going to buy every employee dongles for everything
The only justification for expensive stuff is sometimes they make considerations you didn’t even think was possible
I got the new work laptop. This one is brand new and it’s interesting how Dell has gone back to having normal ports again. The old laptop only has 3 USB-C ports, an SD card slot (full size) and a headphone jack. The new laptop has USB-A ports and a HDMI port, and a micro SD card slot.
There’s a banh mi place near work that’s good. I’ve only ever had the tofu version, but I should swing by in the morning and have the breakfast banh mi because even the tofu tastes great
I found a job ad for this place called Youngster.co check them out and you can probably sign up. Also it’s not volunteer, it’s paid
