    Legal assessment of the US strikes on Venezuela will be “complex and requires careful consideration,” Germany’s chancellor said Saturday after strikes which included the capture of the South American nation’s president, Nicolas Maduro.

    Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae posted on social media after the US military attack on Venezuela that the Japanese government is working closely with relevant countries, while placing top priority on securing the safety of Japanese nationals.

    Takaichi wrote on X on Sunday afternoon that Japan has been stressing the importance of restoring democracy in Venezuela as soon as possible.
