As a 40k fan, my favourite thing about Space Marines used to be how on-the-nose the analogy of today’s shitty war-obsessed fascism was. Apparently it wasn’t obvious enough.
same, I thought the satire was blindingly obvious what with the psycho-indoctrinated child soldiers being used as the fascist thugs for a literal corpse, but I’ve heard too many people just quote the whole “purge the alien” thing completely without irony.
Some of us aren’t! But you are correct to assume fascist until proven otherwise when it comes to 40k, especially space marine and imperium fans
