Lemmy isn’t as full of bots, PR people, propaganda, and paid trolls all looking to disrupt conversation, or ASTRO turf, or just spread hate and distrust. It’s just not a big enough target yet for those that are trying to artificially manipulate us.
Therefore the average level of hate and dissension is lower, making the natural occurring shit stains stick out more and seem like more of the aberration that they are.
You know what else you don’t see much of here? The sudden explosion of fan boy mania, nonstop accolades, and an nonstop stories about how cool, and just like us some actor is. All across multiple subs, all at once, right before a project of theirs comes out. Only to immediately fade away once the project is out.
But I’m cool and just like you non-actor people (except I’m really, really hot or whatever), also, I didn’t fade away from Lemmy after my movie was out.
If you want more wholesome there’s a girl on RPGMemes who posts comics about her PC being romanced by her party’s NPC paladin companion. It’s really adorable.
What lemmy have you been on? It’s a toxic place with circlejerks everywhere
