minus-square@wombatula@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglish1•9 months agoI am pretty sure that’s only Catholicism (possibly Orthodox Judaism?), and the reason is cold-blooded animals literally were not considered to be meat, so they are ok to eat during times that meat is prohibited.
Fish aren’t meat as far as dietary rules go for the Abrahamic faiths.
