It’s been a grey winter, and looking to stay that way. I work remote, so I was thinking of getting an SAD light. But I remember from years ago when I had one (and worked in an office) that if I put it next to my monitor it gave me a headache and made my monitor hard to see. Those of you using SAD lights, where do you put them, how long do you use them per day and all that?

I don’t use a SAD light specifically, although I do feel like my bulbs haven a good light spectrum (NanoLeaf Essentials).

I point it at the corner of my wall behind my desk such that it illuminates my entire back wall behind my monitor.

This gives a bright white soft light behind my desk (white walls) and doesn’t require me to adjust monitor brightness.

Anecdotally this has helped me a lot in days where I don’t get much sun. That said, I do ten minutes in the sun every morning per Huberman.

Combined this has helped me a ton.
