I just find it funny that people trot out the 1989 tiananmen square massacre over and over again like it’s some kind of gotcha. Protest all you want, but when protesting doesn’t do shit, it’s not really worth anything. Tell me how all the protests and speaking out against the Iraq war stopped the US from invading Iraq and staying there to this day. Tell me how all the protests against the US support of israel carrying out genocide is doing anything to change that. If you’re allowed to protest, it’s because your protests change nothing.

You don’t seem to grasp the difference between you being free to have an opinion and you being mysteriously disappeared if you have an opinion.

I love how you just agree with all the bad shit China does and say it’s actually good. FYI, I’m not from the US and while I think that USA is definitely a better place to be than China is, it’s not like it’s in my top 10 best countries to live or something.

I never said I agreed with China, just pointing out that you should examine your freedoms and what they really mean. I also thought it was silly how the tiananmen square massacre gets brought up endlessly like it’s some sort of trump card. Finally, I had a feeling you’re not from the US, but I used the US as an example since it’s often boasted about as the prime example of a “free country”.
