Robert McNamara
This haircut is the haircut of 1980s neocons, it isn’t an exclusive haircut of all psychopathy, but instead this very specific sort of elite breed of psychopathy.
In 1962, McNamara supported a plan for mass spraying of the rice fields with herbicides in the Phu Yen mountains to starve the Viet Cong out, a plan that was only stopped when W. Averell Harriman pointed out to Kennedy that the ensuing famine would kill thousands of innocent people.

McNamara’s own teenage son, Robert Craig McNamara, was opposed to the war and denounced his father when he came from work every day. McNamara was shocked to discover that the American flag was hanging upside down in his son’s bedroom as the younger McNamara told him that he was ashamed of America because of him.
what a chad!
Looking over that I spotted this fellow who seems to have realized the character of the war.
Holy shit, his entire page reads like a perfect unholy blend of sheer evil and utter incompetence.
He should’ve been successfully thrown off that boat and parodied
He doesn’t look like the sort of person who would actually strangle you, but I can so easily imagine him coming across someone choking to death or having a stroke or something and just pulling up a chair to watch them die.
Pulls out a cloth to wipe glasses lenses.
"Oh, don’t let me bother you.
crosses legs
Please, continue."
Braver than the troops.
Amazingly, after the ship got to shore, McNamara did not press charges
It’s like he knew he deserved it.
The S in Robert S. McNamara stands for sucking penis
No need to make him sound cool.
Little known fact
I haven’t seen Fog of War yet, have you
I was about to recommend this. It’s a damn good look into the mind of McNamara.
He viewed war the same way he viewed profits when he worked at Ford. An all around psychopath who only in the absolute winter years of his life begin to even recognize the sheer amount of horror he wrought upon the world.
It’s been forever since I’ve seen it, but it was also the first time I was introduced to the term “technocrat”
