    Seems like that conspiracy would require more people not leaking it, ever, than just being incompetent in counter insurgency like every other military force in modern times.

      Well it DOES help that the IDF is amongst the most experienced liars in the world, with the willing suspension of disbelief of most of the leaders of the western world working in their favor to this day.
