Ich weiß nicht was ich davon halten soll, als beehaw-User würde es mich auf jeden Fall glaube ich ziemlich nerven und mich dazu bewegen, mich stattdessen auf lemmy.world oder sh.itjust.works zu registrieren. Ich bin jedenfalls froh, als feddit.de User nicht direkt betroffen zu sein, auch wenn das Ganze wahrscheinlich eher zu mehr Fragmentation führen wird und mich somit früher oder später doch betreffen wird.

Top, genau das Problem, dass ich vermutet hatte, als ich lemmy beigetreten bin. Mein ganzer Account und Post Histroie hängt an einer Instanz. Und jetzt muss ich nicht nur initial die “richtige” Instanz wählen, sonder in unendliche Zukunft darauf vertrauen, dass sich die Werte/Ideen des Betreibers sich mit meinen Decken. Und wenn das mal nicht mehr so ist (oder sich der Betreiber ändert), habe ich keine Chance meinen Content auf eine andere Instanz mit zu nehmen.
Ich finde die Idee von lemmy super. Aber es muss was passieren, dass User einfach Instanz Migration machen können und Communities über Instanzen hinweg “zusammen geschaltet” werden können. So lange das nicht passiert, möchte ich ungern “all-in” alles was ich bisher in Reddit gemacht habe an eine lemmy instanz hängen, deren Zukunft unklar ist.
Genau das ist bei Mastodon möglich und wird mit Sicherheit auch für Lemmy kommen. Vielleicht kann man ja irgendwann sogar Communities umziehen? Wer weiß…
