Since then I always enjoyed imagining that body modification was a common part of Klingon culture, and Worf was just embarrassed of that cultural fad of removing the forehead ridges. I know that ENT introduced the augment virus as an explanation, but that could actually be an even stronger justification for cosmetic surgeries becoming common enough that a cottage industry arose.
@Lyon_Wonder @ValueSubtracted if I remember correctly someone asked Worf about it and he said “we don’t speak about it”. This was in DS9.
