You are mistaking the DNC for a single person with monolithic views. The DNC is not a person. It does not operate as a person. It is an organization of hundreds of current members and tens of thousands of former members.
You are thinking of the DNC as a single binary person in hugely simplistic terms who is either A (good) or B (evil). Even if the DNC WAS an actual person, no real person is like that.
You are thinking of the DNC as a single binary person with permanent views that can never change. There is almost a complete turnover of membership every 4 years. Hundreds of new people every 4 years. Most of them have no idea what some particular former member thought or did not think 8 years ago. It’s totally irrelevant. The only thing that is relevant is what the charter rules say.
