In the company’s zany promo video, a voiceover promises Eve will protect owners from burglars, unwanted animal guests, and any hapless passersby who fail to heed its “zero compliance, zero tolerance” warning.

The consequences for shrugging off Eve’s threats: Getting blasted with paintballs, or perhaps even teargas pellets.

This will signal to the suburban betas that you are the alpha of Cape Coral, FL.

PaintCam’s Kickstarter is set to go live on April 23. No word on release date for now…

Oh it’s a scam, how much money did they raise?

€74,190 pledged of €12,000 goal

LOL what’s getting developed with 12k of anything? Add a zero to the end of that and maybe you get 1/4th of what’s promised here.

If you’ve got a half dozen engineers with a garage and some free time you could probably slap together a minimum viable product batman robot. I know a lot of engineers, there’s some really freaky shit possible now with 3d printers, CNC machines, and arduinos. with 75k Euro you could definitely get some kind of prototype up and running. Folks make mostly functioning airsoft auto-turrets with old laptops and a few servos, using open-source software to train the targetting system.

remember Palestinian military forces were building modern tandem-warhead RPG rounds in tunnels while under Israeli blockade. Engineers are scary as shit and constitute a strategic military resource that should be monitored and strictly regulated.

yeah 12k is more than enough for a paintball gun, security camera, and a couple of computers to start farting around with existing vision libraries if you’ve got a few people with time on their hands
