Edge is just Chrome with a different skin.

How else am I supposed to feel good by telling Sync users that they suck for not using Officially Approved FOSS Applications For The Fediverse?
Even if every single person used a FOSS client, someone would eventually come along and tell you why the one you use sucked…with a very long list of reasons why.
It’s all new users. Maybe the dev and his fanboys activated their troll bots. Probably that’s how they used to cripple criticism on Reddit. However they should be aware, that’s not going to work on Lemmy.
It should also be noted that c/syncforlemmy announced the need for mods (after their vehement criticism regarding the pricing). Probably they want to play a dirty game.

I use Sync, but I also use Librewolf, so I suppose that makes me the worst kind of person.

Many users would pay to have a subjectively better user experience. Sync was originally made for Reddit and had all that development time before Rexxit happened, and therefore, even after switching over to Lemmy, Sync is a more polished experience for many people compared to the FOSS alternatives.
I use Liftoff and Connect myself, and have never tried Sync. However, when Boost becomes available I’d love to try that out as well, as that was my Reddit app of choice.
Well there is an infinity port and since it was made for reddit too , its pretty nice ! The devs are active !

Also voyager (wefwef) has now released on the play store, though I keep going back to infinity even if it’s incomplete compared to connect, liftoff and voyager.
Thats the same , infinity is not finished but looks so much good !

“Better” is pretty subjective when it comes to this stuff. I’ve tried Jerboa, Liftoff, Connect, and Sync. I like Sync the best by far.
But I’ve also seen comments saying this exact same thing except they like one of the others the best.
Someone should make a list of all the Lemmy apps which are objectively better than Sync and the reasons why. That’d show them.
