For some reason I feel I am going to be banned from this site with this question.
Not sure. Criminalizing a way of thinking is a pretty dangerous thing to do, at least for a society that is based on freedom. So maybe there are other countries that are like, authoritarian where something like that may happen?
To my knowledge, the only place where promoting Nazi beliefs or imagery is illegal is in Germany, for obvious reasons.
I think, at least for a while, in the Philippines it was legal to kill anyone on / selling drugs. Their president at the time even paid hit squads to go find people to kill.
Also, I know plenty of Texans who consider Nazi’s to be anyone of a more liberal mindset than them, and stand your ground laws are pretty robust there… Nevermind that the 2nd amendment was actually for keeping people like trump from ruling…
Perhaps. Wasn’t it the Philippines that had a known corrupt official running it? I mean, all politicians are corrupt, but IIRC that guy was like extra corrupt. Or maybe it was the one before him?
Stand Your Ground laws basically don’t apply when the investigation reveals that it was not an act of self defense. Even if the other person was a horrible person like a sex offender, you might maybe get a more lenient sentencing of crime of passion. But murder is still murder.
The person in question is Rodrigo Duterte
I’m not sure but I think even there the law didn’t allow for civilians to kill drug dealers/users. I believe it was only police who were allowed to do that.
Careful.
Being Nazi is not just a belief like any of the usual political beliefs. It includes being ready to use violence and many other terrible / illegal methods to get your goals.
A way of thinking that, when granted power, criminalizes every other way of thinking and discards freedom 100% of the time… That countries don’t actively do something to prevent its prevalence works like a crack in the foundation of the freedoms they enforce. I’d not suggest legalized contextual murder like this op is asking about, but a clear outlawing of an ideology that brings nooses and book burnings with it, definitely.
For some reason I feel I am going to be banned from this site with this question.
Question is fair enough, but your history is looking weird by now. Slightly paraphrased to illustrate the pattern:
What would a modern day instruction manual to create home-made explosives look like?
Is there any place on the web to brag about terrorist attacks? (deleted?)
Where is it legal to murder people?
All in 11 days
I don’t think the question is worth a ban personally unless you’re asking for travel advice with intent.
I don’t technically know for sure, but murder is still murder and vigilante justice makes us no better than them. Ok, maybe still better, but we are better than that. Or need to start being.
Lol. The reason I ask is my dad could note stand nazi’s or neo nazis or white supremanists or whatever. He was in WW2 and said he loved to kill them after he saw his first concertration camp. Then he loved…I think it was COD so he could relive it. And today with the polital clliment it seems to be nazis everywhere. I would post a video of him playing video games but he uses slurs that were ok back in the day but not today.
I mean, I feel like anyone that likes killing other people and wants to relive killing other people should probably seek professional help for that.
If you ever saw my dad play video games you would disagree. He was in the top ten on KD ratio. And after he played he was fine. If he ever got pissed off for some reason he would play it and about an hour later would be happy.
Your 100 year old dad is not playing video games.
No shit because he is dead.
The concentration camps were liberated only at the end of World War II. if your dad still went on to kill Nazis, he was freelancing.
He was in WW2 I did not believe him either but then we got sent a flag by the younger George Bush thanking him for his service and that he will always be remembered.
If people could just dance like no one’s watching for once that would be great.
That would be the slipperiest of the slopes. Anyone could get away with murder by just claiming the person was a nazi. Especially in this day and age it’s really difficult to find actual nazies. The supply is incredibly low compared to the demand which leads to people like Elon Musk being labeled as one which is absolutely ridiculous thing to say.
Regardless of what ideology is outlawed any law that lets somebody kill another freely is going to be rife with abuse, false accusations by those wanting revenge on those they don’t like etc.
All that is to say if there is such a law in any country that lets a person kill another without any kind of due process it’s going to be an issue. We see this even now with the impunity some law enforcement kill “suspects” with no actual weapons found and where even the initial interaction was for something frivolous.
Now imagine anybody being able to do that for any reason and then just claim “they were a nazi, drug dealer, pedophile, etc etc.”
You can join the IDF and kill Gazans for sport evidently.
Ok again not promoting death. I just don’t get why we had a huge war against them and it seems like they are cropping back up in all aspects of society. When I learned about Africa killing poachers I was at first like WTF then thought they probably been having a war on them for a while. I am not justfying killing innocent civis but if I see a Nazi or the kkk beating the shit out of a race they do not like am I ok just to shoot them on sight even if I am not in danger and protecting the victim?
This scenario is very different from what I understood from your OP. I’m pretty sure that in the majority of the world, this would be legal. It’s what we call justifiable homicide.
At first I understood the question to mean “are countries where you can kill someone Nazi-countries”. I mean, the US is close with their death penalties and trigger happy society but I wouldn’t call them Nazis yet.
Lol so you answered the question you knew wasn’t asked?
I guess my statement on the morality of killing people was too subtle.
So you are promoting death and killing.
Sorry bud
