What sport is this? I’m seriously struggling to imagine a sport in which a 24 year old could lose to a 7 year old. Maybe a foot race where the 24 year old is extremely out of shape?

I think skateboarding. Meza has a skateboard in the background of this picture and a google search finds someone of 11 years with that name identifying as a surfer/skater

That tracks. Little kids can make up for a lack of leg strength for getting height by just being light as hell, especially if it’s vert, there’s a few videos around of small kids doing 900s and I’ve seen a couple 1080s and that’s still pretty damn rare for adults, being smaller and having a super low center of gravity does really have it’s advantages with ramps and with grinding. Skateboarding as a competitive sport doesn’t make much sense in the first place, but an 11 year old could conceivably wreck an adult depending on the competition

Shorter, lighter people honestly have a bit of an advantage in vert skating where the size of the ramp makes up for their weight and strength potentially not giving them as much speed and pop. Being shorter allows you to spin faster, and being lighter allows you greater tolerance on less than perfect landings where a larger skater probably would have gotten wheelbite and ate shit if all other things were equal. There have been kid skating prodigies doing NBD shit for awhile now. Mitchie Brusco, the guy that landed the first (mega ramp) 1260 started super young and I feel like with Nyjah and Yuto dominating competitions, skateboarding has kind of entered into an era where the big medal winning skaters are all savants that started skating when they started walking like Olympic gymnasts.
