Like when he Orville season 3 spoilers volunteered to do Topa’s trans surgery against Union orders then calmly but forcefully stopped Klyden from interfering.

Still has a few MacFarlane-isms but it’s got the spirit. The Moclan child arc was actually really impressive aside from a couple lib bits.
