Suppose it is easier if your rolls don’t have space to write all that stuff. The buy link is nice, but seems like it’s just front loading that work and asking for a stale link.

You’re going through the work of saving the link when you make the QR code. Rather than doing the work when you run out of plastic thread. Hence, the work is front loaded.
Links often go bad, or rot, or go stale. Meaning that a link you make to some Amazon – or whatever – page now might not exist in 3 months. So the work might not be worth it.

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. A QR code can just be plain text, no link at all. The QR codes they’re talking about likely are just the raw data.
They literally stated that they included a URL for purchasing the product. It’s in the title of the post.

How do you print the QR code on a sticker? I’m just curious about your printer and software for that task.
I use noteqr.de. Those are pre-printed qr codes, you just scan them and add content afterwards.
I see. So the QR code doesn’t contain any of your data in it, it’s just a url to that site, which let’s you store notes under that url.
That’s a neat site, but I was hoping for a local solution that actually stores the data in the QR code itself.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use any old QR Code generator and just print the image of it yourself?
Sure, I was mostly asking about the printer and sticker setup. Generating a QR code is one thing. Getting it printed nicely on a sticker is another. OPs solution uses a preprinted qr code to a url and then you store your notes in their site. Nothing wrong with it if that’s what you want, but I’d like to encode the data directly.
