I hope this doesn’t go against rules, I just wanted to encourage everyone in areas experiencing record heatwaves, to be kind to your local wildlife, strays, and neighboring animals.

Leave water out for both drinking, and bathing. Watch for animals in need, experiencing heat exhaustion.

Thanks!

I put out a birdbath last year and it truly warms my heart how much my local wildlife uses it. Every kind of bird, squirrels, chipmunks, everyone comes to cool down and have a drink. I have to clean it out daily but it’s a small price to pay to see my critters hop up for a drink of fresh cool water on a 90-degree day.

so true. we also have a bird bath and on days where i get busy with work calls & forget to top it off, i’m gutted to see the birdies standing around looking for a drink only to be disappointed.

gotta fixture out goes to automate topping it off without flooding the rest of the yard
