The Kherson region’s operational services reported that the AFU attacked the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station at night, possibly from the Olkha MLRS. As a result, three spans collapsed due to water pressure. 22 thousand people are in the potential flood zone.

Ukraine traditionally keeps on chanting it was Russia. Bright sparks. Kakhovka is now controlled by Russia, there are Russian troops. Would it shell its people?

The videos are the curtesy of the region’s operational services.

      YES. Yes, Russia would.

        YES. Yes, Russia would does.

I was reading about an interview with Yevgeny Prigozhin (Wagner’s boss) just last week where he was complaining that Russia was shelling his men.

Also the constant shelling of civilian population in Kherson ever since they’ve been pushed out. You know, the Kherson they say is part of Russia. (Same with Zaporizhia).

And they’re not treating people of occupied territories as ‘their people’ anyway - no free movement with Russia itself.

(Also, you can’t destroy a dam like this by ‘shelling’. It takes a very big bomb or intentional demolition to do that, and Russians have been controlling the dam for a long time.)

EDIT: and they’re shelling Kherson right now as evacuation is taking place.

Yep, I noticed that on other instances but seeing that beehaw has banned lemmygrad at least gives me some hope.

◾Meanwhile upstream, the floodgates are still open at DneproGES (controlled by Ukraine), which means that the Ukrainian leadership is not interested in stopping the flood.

Sometimes it is necessary to look around and not quote what the Western media serve up every day: Russia is bad - the West is good - Kiev is brilliant.
