I thought the purpose of the fediverse was to create a framework for strong independent communities that cannot be subverted by corporate (reddit) interests.
But without numbers there is no strength, no purpose for organization. Then what are we doing here? Mild entertainment?

I don’t believe that. Lemmy continues to slowly grow. It’s not dieing at all.
