You may HEAR about them more, but statistically you are safer now than you were 30 years ago in the USA. I think there’s more mass media and TikTok, so the news spreads further, but we are NOT in the middle of an epidemic, unless you consider it a 30 year one that started prior to 1990.

But there’s still a mass shooting basically every other week, I’m speaking specifically about that epidemic.
