More variety than AI hate here definitely sounds nice. But a broad term like “technology” is more likely to attract the big trending topics, that are most likely hated.
Isn’t it amazing how people in communities dedicated to technologies hate technologies?
More awareness perhaps? Also people generally respond more to negative things compared to negative things.
Or people within the technology corner have seen the Over promise, underdeliver scheme play out too many times already
