This isn’t a criticism of Majel Barrett, but it didn’t “take” 3 actresses to play her roles, those were just hiring decisions.

Do you really think they would have decided to hire one actor for all three roles? And yeah, it kind of is a criticism because the point is she had that much range as an actress, playing multiple iconic characters which people have no problem keeping separate in their minds rather despite all being played by one person.

It wouldn’t have to take a dozen actors to replace Jeffrey Combs either… but good luck finding one actor to replace all of his roles.

Do I really think what? No I don’t, I didn’t say that,. and the question doesn’t even make sense.

Let’s look at a Spock - to my knowledge 3 actors have played adult Spock in movies and TV shows and at least two have played him in games. Clearly this doesn’t reflect on Leonard Nimoy’s acting ability in any way, Casting choices are based on all kinds of factors. I know some people think anyone who isn’t jumping up and down waving pompoms is the enemy, which is why I prefaced my comment by saying it wasn’t meant as a criticism of Majel Roddenberry. If you can’t accept that as honest… whatever dude.
