The film did not have a single redeeming quality. Boring ass, shit ass, bullshit film. My only regret was not sleeping through more of it.

I don’t understand why anyone is surprised that entertainment is garbage. I don’t know the first thing about this movie. I don’t know whose in it, who directed it, or any other relevant detail, and somehow I could still tell it wasn’t worth my time.
The Chapo podcast does this too. Three bromandudes in their 40s get famous pointing out how shitty American culture is while simultaneously drinking it all in to the point that they are current on every single shitty show or movie.

If you didn’t like the movie that’s fine, but I don’t think classifying it as “slop” is really accurate here. Eggers is an actual auteur director who makes films that aren’t “designed to extract maximum profit for minimum effort”, if anything is flaw is he’s a bit too instant on certain details of his work.
