To be fair, LibreOffice is also FOSS. There’s no need to boycott FOSS based on region.
There isn’t, but i for one feel better donating to foss creators outside the US at the moment.

Softmaker Free Office has been around since 1987 and is also based in Germany.
My personal favorite, OnlyOffice, is based in Latvia. It also has a good integration with NextCloud.

yeah I missed that. I also usually see “friendly reminder” used to point out that something is bad or should be avoided, and I use libreoffice so I was wondering what could possibly be wrong with it
Honest mistake, don’t think you deserved the downvotes. And agree the text seems to be implying that if not for the community :)
I personally would avoid german products for being the second biggest suppoeter of Israel.
