is there a program that will allow me to do this without having to sign into my google account? like sendanywhere but for bluetooth?
KDE Connect
KDE conndct, unless a windows update broke file transfers again.
On my pixel there’s a Bluetooth option under the share menu… I’ll try it with windows when I can
You need a Google account to send files from Android to Windows over Bluetooth now? Bruh.
You can use pairdrop.net to transfer files between any 2 devices on the same wifi/lan.
Check out LocalSend
We need a gmail account to share via bluetooth now ??
in order to use the “share nearby” feature between a phone and a PC, yes, as far as I can tell
edit: I should probably mention my phone is still googled.
“share nearby” is not simple bluetooth. You can still send files through bluetooth without having to login to any provider.
I generally use usb to transfer data , its faster i believe !
I use session, since it works anywhere without an account
the chat app?
i think syncthing is actually going to be a better solution for what i want to achieve (keep local music files on my phone on my PC too), but it’s good to know these things.
Sync thing is great. I use session more as copy and paste buffer
What’s “session”? Sorry lol
Localsend if you want to just send files
Kde Connect if you want to deeply connect phone with pc
