We’re experimenting with different alternatives to reddit in anticipation of their impending apocalypse in which they force third party app developers to shut down the products some of us have been using for decades.

No one knows better than an ex-Christian how scary change can be, but it’s also an opportunity for growth. Let’s see what we can do together.

Wow, been a while since I saw your name. Back during the atheism/atheismRebooted kerfuffle. We’ve got to stop meeting like this!

      But why? Clearly it’s fate!

I eventually went back to r/atheism after the Knights of New took control. After tuber left reddit I volunteered to help moderate r/exchristian. Now here I am again.

Hey there! Ex-Southern-Baptist of about 10-12 years checking in!

Excited to find a community like this! I liked r/atheism when I first deconverted, but it got a little toxic for my taste.

    Looking forward to discussion here!

Hi there! I’m an ex-pentecostal and current reddit refugee. Still trying to feel out the communities I want to subscribe to. Also trying to figure out Lemmy, but my neuroplasticity ain’t what it used to be.

At my age, my neuroplasticity isn’t exactly Stretch Armstrong either. But with patience and persistence we can do this!

One of the things that I’m enjoying the most about Reddit shitting the bed is discovering new communities. I subscribed out of sheer curiosity. I still consider myself a Christian but i don’t really know where I fall anymore, something akin to being on the precipice of deconstructing but too scared to actually take the next steps. It would likely make for an interesting chat with a therapist 😅

Anyways, just wanted to pop in and interact because I’m trying to be less of a lurker than I was on Reddit.
