I have some free time coming up and I’d like to get into star trek but I have no idea where to start there’s too many series and movies. Anyone got a good guide for all this please?

    Yes do exactly this. Season 1 is awkward and almost entirely bad and not needed for context, and some of season 2 is the same.

    The only context you need from season 1 is that before Warf there was a chief security officer (I forget if that’s the the actual position title right now) named Tasha Yar who was controversially killed off in a pointless manner in season 1, because the person who played her hated the notoriously awful behind-the-scenes conditions of season 1. She will come up later in one of the best episodes, and a few others.
