Wow, so that’s how they make Digimon.
Even though some here will call me a nerd for it, to me there is a profound beauty to watching how the Game of Life sizzles and pops. I’m in awe of the way it demonstrates unpredictability despite the complete deterministic ruleset. And when the self-replicating critters bubble up out of it and start doing their thing, something about it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Also, RIP to John Conway, another victim of Covid.
