Just had one single person go through my entire profile and downvote every comment and post except for those that I assume they’re de-federated from. And now, thanks to this nifty little tool at votes.gregtech.eu, you can see exactly who has voted on your posts in most cases. So I was able to block this person and avoid having a stalker downvoting everything I post.

IMO, users like this should be named and shamed so that everyone else has a chance to block them and remove bad actors from their Lemmy experience. We’ve got !fediblock@lemmy.dbzer0.com for admins to sus out bad instances. Why not something like that but for users to sus out other users? Or would that count as doxxing or something?

    So what does blocking actually do if the person is still able to interact with your posts? Is it just a placebo then?

    All blocking does is hide that person’s posts & comments from you.
