Masked agents were recorded pulling several people out of two LA-area Home Depot stores and the clothing manufacturer Ambient Apparel’s headquarters in LA’s Fashion District. Immigration advocates said the raids also included four other locations, including a doughnut shop.
What are less-lethal weapons?
Bean bag, taser, etc.
So they can still be used as lethal right? I just find it interesting that the guardian said that.
In the past things like rubber bullets and tasers were termed “non-lethal” weapons, but of course people still die from those. The change in terminology is intended to reflect reality.
One point for The Guardian
“Less than lethal” just means isn’t designed to kill you like a bullet is but most less than lethal stuff fired out of a gun will permanently fuck you up. Someone lost an eye during the George Floyd protests from a less than lethal round. Getting hit by rubber bullets or a bean bag round at close range will easily break bones.
