That’s what happens when you run an OS that forces updates on you. Remember when you could disable them?

Unfortunately if you have an Nvidia gpu linux is ready but nvidia isn’t, so it won’t work so well from a gaming perspective.
This is what forced me to have WSL2 run my docker containers on my gaming PC because its GPU can run local LLMs faster when windows is in control of the drivers.
If I tried this in Linux, I couldn’t play most of my games that happen to have DRM crap
