srsly. it depresses me. he was in a film adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing back in 2012, playing Dogberry and stole the show, imo. the guy is so capable and talented.

I’ve watched a lot of his stuff, just because, and each new project is worse and worse. like I’m sure it’s hard to turn down a cookie cutter, serialized broadcast TV show that was built entirely around him specifically at this point in his career, but damn. The Rookie is the worst copaganda ever made. and the premise doesn’t even make sense anymore, because it’s been rolling for practically a decade. I am convinced that it’s still going because it’s so paint-by-numbers for the bean counters, and he holds it together just by being charming on screen.

I hope he’s happy with the bucks.
