He totally rejects revolutionary defeatism because Iran is not a colonized country but a lesser capitalist one. Yet that’s exactly the situation Russia was in when Lenin theorized revolutionary defeatism in the first place.edit: listening again, I think I’m misinterpreting him here. He actually is advocating for revolutionary defeatism, saying “leave this war to the capitalist class”. He doesn’t quite go all the way to saying he wants Iran to lose, but he does say this isn’t the fight of the Iranian working class.
