I have not found a setting within the Steam mode to change input speed. I did boot into the desktop and slow down the mouse cursor there. But it does not seem to carry over into game mode.
The game I am playing does not have a cursor speed setting either.
You need to use the controller settings for the game you’re playing. You can adjust everything in there.
I do not see a mouse setting within the controller settings, only for actual controllers.
You should be able to do it with steam input
The only place I found anything about steam input was in the properties of the game and then under controller, I can set it to Steam input, but I do not see where I can make any changes to Steam input, and I am not using a controller but a keyboard and mouse.
You used to be able to set the mouse speed on the windows operating system. Sometimes the software you are using overrides this, so maybe check your software settings to see if they made that possible.

I am running Steam OS on my Steam deck, not windows.

There is no input speed control. Plus I would like something Steam Deck wide and to not have to adjust it in each game.
I know for trackpad/joystick/gyro mouse you can definitely adjust the sensitivity, but I’m not sure about adjusting sensitivity for an actual mouse (if that’s what you’re talking about).
I think mouse and keyboard only works properly in Desktop mode. Not sure if intended or a bug.
My suggestion is to open a support ticket with Valve/Steam. They might help you troubleshoot it, but most likely they will escalate the problem to their dev team as a feature request / bug report.
