A school teacher in India has subjected a seven-year-old Muslim student to degrading treatment inside a classroom, asking his classmates to slap him and asking for him to be evicted due to his religion, a video now viral on social media has revealed.

The video, which surfaced on Friday, showed Trapta Tyagi, the teacher at the school in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, making Islamophobic remarks in addition to encouraging other students to slap him harder.

Go anywhere and say anything is a race with a straight face.

Unless you’ve got a secret group of Neanderthals hidden in your closet, we are all the same race. So racism has to follow lines of ethnicity of which religion is a huge defining factor.

Race doesn’t have to make sense for racism to be real. The Chinese Zodiac massively influences humanity and yet astrology is bullshit.

Right but what we call racism is discrimination against ethnicities not races. And like I said, religion is a big part of identity for many ethnic groups across the planet.

totally massive topic change but i really find this whole “astrology isn’t real” stuff to be kinda funny.

i think you fail to see what the sky looked like when people really believed this stuff, you’d believe it too seeing the sky all lit up and gorgeous.

on top of that, i sort of do believe babies born in certain times of the year whether it is the time of the year or diet of the mother really influenced them and their attitude. babies in winter probably were held more and developed different than a baby born in the summer able to go outside and be exposed to pollen.

our world now might be so chaotic it doesn’t apply but at the time i think astrology makes absolute 100% sense. you really don’t think the seasons or how the planets are aligned have any impact upon our day to day life or child development?

First off you are assuming things about me. You are assuming I have never worked on a ship, have never been in the middle of the Wyoming badlands, wasn’t raised in deep Appalachia. I know what the stars look like.

Secondly you can believe whatever you want. I care about evidence and you have none. If this were true the insurance companies would be data mining the hell out of it. You are also assuming the seasons of the very north where the majority of the human race does not live.

And no I don’t think the alignments of the planets or the season you were born in has an impact that can be consistently demonstrated. Even if there was something to the season thing it would break pretty easy once you factor in lifestyle differences. A baby born in Manhattan apartment is probably going to have different amount of outdoor time compared to a baby born in a big house on LI. Despite them having virtually the same weather.

Also for a person defending the Chinese Zodiac you don’t seem to know how it works. It works on years not months. There is a reason why people talk about babies born in the year of _____.

Basically you are doing what everyone does to defend pseudoscience. You started with a conclusion and try to prove it right, when you can’t you weaken the conclusion until you think you can slip it in. So instead of skydaddy writing our fates in the stars it is maybe pollen exposure does something. Never mind that your weakened claim has no association at all with what the people who believe in astrology argue.

Anecdotal I know but when me and my wife were engaged my mother-in-law went to an astrologist to ask if it was a good idea. That is astrology, that is the claim, not watered down maybe pollen. This is as frustrating as arguing with diests.

but you’re talking about modern day astrology.

what i am saying is if you were born a thousand years ago, you likely won’t and didn’t travel far you’re local for life. the season there, the ecosystem there is influenced by the season so there was a time when astrology absolutely made sense

this is not the astrology of today.

but my point is you’re basically coming off like one of those aggressive atheists declaring it is wrong and dumb when you like actually aren’t really seeing the history of reading the stars as a respectable thing.

also it literally doesn’t matter. nowhere you go on the planet is going to replicate a time before artificial light. even if you left the planet, you won’t see the true night sky of earth

I see so you weakened the claim further by setting it in the past.

I am an aggressive atheist, it is wrong and dumb, and I dont see it as a respectable thing. I am glad I conveyed exactly what I am about.
