The Vth Republic is done, it was not great when it was introduced, and then it got twisted and corrupt. It’s extremely vulnerable to bad faith actors and one president (let’s say a far right one, for instance) would send us into an authoritarian dictatorial nightmare in no time. All the previous administrations paved the way for this to happen smoothly and it might actually happen in 2027.

We really need to move on, and get a new constitution as soon as humanely possible.
