now remember kids, political violence is never acceptable, under any circumstances, no matter how much you disagree with someone politically, you should never celebrate harm coming to them.

times like this are when it’s very important to put aside our political differences and remember our common humanity.

    totally unrelated:

here’s Charlie Kirk comparing Kyle Rittenhouse to Jesus. it’s a lesser-known Bible story but when he was 17 years old Jesus killed two Black Lives Matter protesters with an AR-15.

3 months ago, 2 Democratic state legislators in Minnesota were murdered. and here’s an exclusive interview that Glenn Beck’s website The Blaze did with the alleged shooter

after Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul was attacked in their home: Prominent conservatives share online disinformation about Paul Pelosi assault

Former Republican President Donald Trump has so far remained silent online about the Pelosi home invasion, but his son Donald Trump Jr. retweeted a proposed “Paul Pelosi” Halloween costume featuring men’s underwear and a hammer, saying “The Internet remains undefeated.” Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.), who sits on the House Homeland Security Committee, embraced a false anti-LGBTQ conspiracy surrounding the attack, tweeting and then deleting a post suggesting the perpetrator was a “male nudist hippie prostitute.”

Beyond Trump Jr. and Higgins, pro-Trump commentators from Charlie Kirk to former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. also weighed in online to raise questions about the investigation based on unfounded and false claims. Among those baseless claims: that a third person answered the door when police arrived at the Pelosi home, which San Francisco law enforcement has said is untrue; and that DePape was in his underwear when apprehended, a falsehood taken from a since-corrected local news report.

Jordan Neely was strangled to death on the NYC subway by Daniel Penny. subsequently Penny was invited to attend the Army-Navy football game as Trump’s guest, and was hired by the VC firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Sorry, I’m tired and can’t tell if sarcasm. Political violence can sometimes be okay when stopping legitimate harm on other people. For example, Hitler being removed was ok.

If someone calls for harm or promotes ideology that will harm various people, i think it’s ok if it is used to stop them but only as a last resort when all other means of reasoning have been attempted.

I don’t like violence. Sometimes, fighting a bully is ok. I think it is good not to condone it, however, and I also think it is extremely difficult to justify.

In an ideal world, we would be able to charge people and put them through a court system to prevent them from causing or spreading more harm against others, but many countries do not have the systems or are corrupt/too lenient against people who worm their way through legal systems and freedom of speech laws. It’s tricky.

      Sorry for the essay.

Jezebel, 2 days ago: We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk (archive link)

So, did my Etsy curses work? Time will tell. The forces move in mysterious ways, and as the Priestess reminded me, “Spellwork is a collaboration between the caster, the client, and the universe itself.” For now, we can only trust in the timing of the great unknown.

well, uhh…I’ve been an atheist my whole life, but I guess this is my “road to Damascus” moment. I’m off to the bookstore to see if they have any used copies of Wiccanism For Dummies.

based on the available evidence, Etsy witches are 2 for 2 with a 100% success rate.

As far as I can tell (without searching online), this is all the data we have available. Therefore, I think we can safely say that these curses and whatever work.

Sadly our HOA bans candles (connected properties), otherwise I’d be buying some stuff online right now.

The candles and theatrics are helpful for staying focused and keeping your mind on the task and not wandering but the occult can be practiced without anything but your mind and imagination. The occult practices are essentially Zen Buddhism but done with western symbolism because that’s usually what we are raised on in our early formative years so our subconscious responds to it more easily.

And there I was, in the year of our Lord 2025, staring at my computer, chatting with a witch on Etsy about the state of the world, hoping that somewhere between the cosmos and the internet, justice would be served.

The next day, the Priestess sent me her proof of cast: a photograph in flames, the edges slowly curving inward, engulfing Charlie’s ridiculous scrunched-up little face. She whispered (I imagine), “Trust the unseen.” Chills.

Dang, this should definitely go on that witch’s LinkedIn!

Now, is it ethical to curse a man I’ve never met? Probably not. But is it unethical to let him keep talking? Yes. So here we are, in the gray area.

I want to make it clear, I’m not calling on dark forces to cause him harm. I just want him to wake up every morning with an inexplicable zit.

There’s some serious whiplash reading this article alongside finding out the news.

My thoughts go out to the families of all the good people and children killed in mass shootings in the US, in the 10+ years since Kirk hit the scene. He’s done a lot of damage by enticing millennial and gen z men to vote against their best interests.

Jup, they will take it as motivation to apply more gun violence against anyone who disagrees
