On September 27 9:30 PM a boat opened fire into a restaurant named ‘American Fish Company’ in South Port, North Carolina

The police said that they knew the suspect but he didn’t have a serious criminal record.
The police said that he had tried to sue many people.
The shooting victims were tourists, not locals.

In the court documents below from December 2024, he tried to sue his own parents and a bunch of other people for human trafficking. The document says that people were trying to force him to be LGBT and tried to kill him.

I was glancing at the reviews and there appears to be a review left on the Amazon listing for the book, by his former sister in law, suggesting that maybe he was already engaging in paranoid fantasy and used a photo of her being happy he was making a recovery in some sort of negative light.
