Nuno’s one of my favorite guitarists. This seems to be part of a larger trend where guitarists leave big guitar companies and found their own brands. Dean Lamb of Archspire left Kiesel Guitars some time ago to found Ethos Guitars; Tosin Abasi has had his own Abasi Concepts for several years already. The YouTuber Samurai Guitarist launched his own brand Otera recently.

      Well, it will be a wonder if that doesn’t happen. Look at the electric guitars listed at Washburn’s website, the vast majority is Nuno’s signature models. The same signature series is prominently featured on the index page. Like with every guitar company, they have also listed a wide roster of artists, but looks like it hasn’t been updated and many artists there have switched to different guitar brands.

      And Nuno was a big artist that boosted Washburn’s popularity and was associated with the brand for decades. Things are not looking really good for them.
